With rapid urbanization and increasing climate-induced shocks such as droughts, floods, and El Ni?o/La Ni?a events, the Regional Preparedness Initiative led by 麻豆成人版 in Southern Africa addresses the growing climate and food security crises affecting millions in the region. The initiative focuses on strengthening urban preparedness systems across five countries: Madagascar, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

The brochure showcases the 麻豆成人版’s Regional Preparedness Initiative in Southern Africa achievements, outlines ongoing activities, and highlights the next steps in strengthening regional urban disaster preparedness in collaboration with governments, regional bodies like SADC, and key humanitarian partners.

Since 2021, with funding from the EU’s DG-ECHO, 麻豆成人版 has been implementing a multi-phase approach that combines urban vulnerability assessments, cash-based transfer (CBT) programming, and regional policy coordination.

Phase I (2021–2023) established foundational frameworks, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for urban preparedness and integrated urban vulnerability assessments into national and regional planning.

Phase II (2024–2026) builds on this work by enhancing urban readiness, improving vulnerability assessments, developing urban cash transfer protocols, and facilitating knowledge-sharing across the region.
